Shopping (again)

I dunno what I am thinking when I go shopping and actually buy things. I used to be able to resist and not buy anything. But since breaking up, I generally just buy things I think I want..

Erm.... So I saw these pair of shoes I liked that was some crazy price for half price at Anthropologie. So, I went to the shop today and try for size. I didn't quite want to buy it but there was only two pairs of shoes in size 7.5 and one of the pair was a bit big and the other one a good fit. Hai, so I bought la and hopefully they will drop the price in the next 14 days so I can claim price reduction! :-D

Neera by Miss Albright
Ah! Who'd have thought they'd go on sale?
Leather upper and sole with 9cm stacked heel and 2cm platform.
Size 7.5 which is my usual size for Miss Albright. Mua 2nd pair of Miss Albrights
Sexy! I'd like to wear this out jalan-jalan some day.
CTL, Take me out for no reason and even if you don't want to!! :-P
Sigh. This was an unexpected buy from Anthropologie.
I had decided to only buy the shoes but this dress stole my heart (and money).
I love the dropped hemline and the classic-ish look.
Best thing of all, the bloody hemline doesn't end at my crotch!
Also, been really wanting a pair of chinos after I found an awesome pair in Banana Republic on sale two years ago. Uniqlo was selling some boyfriend chinos and slim fit chinos for reduced price! Alteration was free! Whippee! Their sizes are a bit funny though. 10 is kinda too tight and 12 too loose :-/ but the slim fits stretched a bit more so I got 10 in that.

Uniqlo
Left: Slim chinos in neutral on offer with £10 off. Free alteration! Size 10
Right: Boyfriend chinos in beige (beige?? seriously) on offer with £10 offer .Didn't alter cos I like the rolled look.  Size 12
Found some nice stuff whilst browsing at H&M. Specifically I was looking for a pair of shorts and I wondered if the material was good quality after seeing it in the catalogue. There was quite a few shorts to choose from and I settled for a pretty pair with a small right picket and faint neon seams.

There was also a light blue pair of cotton skinnies at waist height for £15! I totally loved their cotton scarf flower print for £8 and the cotton shirt in blue for the same price.

Top: Pink flora motif on 100% organic cotton scraf . Conscious by H&M.
Left: Cotton over-sized collared shirt
Right: Cotton pair of skinnies

I am gonna look good and sexy this summer!

And maybe that's why I shop? Gotta those these sexy pins for the summer.

No pics of the denim shorts cos I put them on as soon as I got home with the price tags on and all. And, I'm sitting here in them shorts feeling epic!

Gorgeous

Yesterday I was riding the Tube home and it was pretty packed. Since I got on a much, much earlier station,I had bagged myself a nice seat with my Fossil backpack and shopping clamoring on my lap.

Eventually it lightened slightly but was still pretty full. I noticed a couple in front of me. Awww, just finish work, either heading out some where for dinner to unwind or home to cuddle. He wore this woven black/grey jacket and his partner was fiddling with it. I found myself wondering if he could feel her fiddling with it and if he did, it would be an affectionate gesture. But, the way she was fiddling with it and digging her thumb's nail into it made me feel like she was trying to get in between the weaves... She did it for max 30 seconds only which was good because I'd be irritated if she ruined his jacket!

Anyway, it was then Liverpool Street Station and the crowd lightened significantly. The guy beside me got up, the paper behind him tumbled onto the seat and the woman from the couple had positioned herself to sit down. I caught myself removing the paper so she could sit.

I didn't think much more.

But, I felt like I was being watched or looked at... I lifted my head slightly but not enough to make any face/eye contact. I felt the couple was looking at me; the man in front of the sitting lady. I then noticed he bowed down to listen to her and I heard "Gorgeous". Sneekily, I looked at the window across to see a reflection of her catching glances at me and smiling.

Ok, wow. Flattering but really? Like, my eyeliner and mascara had melted to settle on my lower lid. Like, I have all this blemishes from pimples. Like, my skin was dry from dehydration and work. Hmmm. Fanks anyway!

I got up and walked out at my stop.

Maybe I heard wrong but if it were true, hey, hey, made my day.

I leave you with what I wore today:

Gap woolen coat with drop shoulders bought at some cheap-ish price when I was a stingy student
H&M cotton cardigan bought at an agonizing £15 as a student a size too big
Fossil bag bought at a bargain from an outlet near Las Vegas (as a student!)
Miss Albright Mary Jane platforms from Anthropologie @Regent's Street
Merino wool tights from ASOS that kept my otherwise bare legs warm!
Underneath the coat
Zara Basic dress I got on sale yesterday
Miller & Jeeves Beautifully British yellow skinny belt from Anthropologies @King's Road

The dress in the dressing room. The sleeves are actually long and see-thru
(I swore I inverted this pic to be the right way around!)
Bought this awesome khussa (Indian slippers) from £7.50 after a double slash in price.
My Asian friend told me last year to wait for the sale and true enough the price fell so much
The shit thing is, I tried it on with my thick woolen thights and couldn't tell the size
So, I got a 4 which is impossibly small! Have to go back to the shop tomorrow. Shitz

Retail Therapy

So brown or black skirt??? Really cannot decide! See, been thinking about useless things like these and falling asleep at work last night. My mind has improved in the last 24 hours from feeling hurt to being mindless.

Yesterday morning and afternoon was so bad la. Kept feeling sad and hurt, basically, feeling really negative. Had to leave the house to do something despite feeling a bit sleepy. So, got dressed and went out to the high street and shopped. Didn't care la, spend money only la. I beh tahan (cannot take it) and needed to get over the feeling.

KIWI Smiling Feet Disposable In-soles. I think it was £3+ for a pack of six pairs.
First went to Sainsbury's cos I needed to pick up some disposable in-soles. Ever wondered how some people could wear shoes without socks or those  uncomfortable below-the-ankle-socks-that-slips-off-anyway? I discovered that the answer was not wearing socks or lining the shoe. Just wearing the shoe barefoot which I think is really icky. I knew this cos I was at the airport and there were a group of fashionably dressed gay men all showing of their ankles, if not their hairless calves. They were defo the people who started the bare ankle trend la. So, anyway we were all on the same flight waiting to board when one guy took off his shoe, put his hand in and started wiping the shoe's lining out.. as if he sweat so much in the shoe the lining disintegrated. He wipe, wipe, wipe, then wear his shoe again and..... didn't wash hand. Ermm... to this day I still feel geli (icky).

For £2.50 bought five pairs of brown-scale socks should I decide not to use my disposable insoles especially in colder temperatures. A bargain at Primark
40% cotton, 58% polyester, 2% elastane. Ok, got some cotton to absorb the sweat
Boots 3 for 2 on film. £12.24 for 3 rolls of 36 exposure
Boots 3 for 2 on cosmestics.
Left: No7 Sunkissed Bronzing Pearls (FREE item!) £11
Middle: L'Oreal True-Match Minerals with foundation-like coverage. Quite impressed with the design and the extra brush although I wouldn't need the brush the next time, so they will hv to sell re-fills. I like how the brush can be washed unlike some products that connect the powder and the brush in the same chamber. approx £14+
Right: L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional, Smoothing Resurfacing Primer. Finally can buy primer OTC! Haven't tried this yet but hopefully it makes my acne scars smoother looking. approx £11.29
Then, went to Boots. Stocked up on some film for my Stockholm trip. Also, I lost my make-up set with my mineral foundation, bronzer (which he bought for me :-( ) and Korean eye shadow palate. Great excuse to buy cosmetics la. Boots had so many 3 for 2 offers and that made me very happy :-)

Next stop was H&M. But, I need to go to work now... I bought some really nice clothes from there. Splurge splurge splurge. Will show next time. In the meantime, I have packed for Stockholm and will rush off to airport right after work and a shower tomorrow! Exciting :-)

Most important items: Passport, credit card, flight ticket and underwear.
